平成２９年９月８日（金）、ニューヨーク市立大学シティ校（CCNY）と本学との合同ワークショップ「Robotics and Computer Science: toward continued collaboration between CCNY and Kyutech」を、CCNYで開催しました。 CCNYと本学は、2014年から学生派遣や教員受入れ等の交流を続けており、2016年には交流協定を締結しました。今回のワークショップはCCNYのGrove School of Engineeringのコンピューター・サイエンス学部と本学の情報工学部を中心に、情報工学のロボティクス分野での応用と、両大学の連携を探ることをめざして企画・開催されました。ワークショップでは、両大学から１０名の研究者が自身の研究について発表し、2本の基調講演と1本のゲスト講演のほか、学生によるポスター発表が行われました。来年７月には第２回が本学で開催される予定です。 On September 8, the City College of New York (CCNY) and Kyutech held a joint workshop “Robotics and Computer Science: toward continued collaboration between CCNY and Kyutech” at CCNY. CCNY and Kyutech have been working on student mobility programs and faculty exchanges since 2014, and have agreed to a partnership for academic exchanges in 2016. This workshop was planned and held mainly by Department of Computer Science, the Grove School of Engineering of CCNY and School of Computer Science and Systems Engineering of Kyutech, aiming to explore the possibilities of application of computer science technology to robotics and the collaborations between both universities. The workshop consists of the oral presentations by 10 researchers from both universities, 2 keynote speeches, one guest speech, and poster session by the students.
