第７回国際合同シンポジウム(The 7th International Symposium on Applied Engineering and Sciences :SAES2019)が開催されました。SAESは２０１３年から毎年、本学とプトラ大学が共催しているものです。
The 7th International Symposium on Applied Engineering and Sciences (SAES2019) was held at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on Monday, November 11th-Tuesday, November 12th. This symposium has been held every year and one of the key events to build a network of researchers of Kyutech and UPM as well as to share and exchange of cutting edge ideas between both universities since 2013.

本学からは教職員及び学生合わせておよそ100人が参加し、UPMの参加者と合わせて参加人数は過去最大の300人を超える規模となりました。
Thanks to the effort of UPM and Kyutech, for this year, we found there were in excess of 300 participants .

プレナリーセッションでは参加者の高い関心を集め、活発な質疑応答が行われました。また基調講演、オーラル発表、ポスター発表では応用化学、生物医学、材料科学、エンジニアリング＆テクノロジーなど多岐の分野にわたり、今後の両大学間の研究促進につながる良い機会となりました。
At the plenary sessions, the attendee enthusiastically listened to the presentations and showed keen interest in the topics. Keynotes, oral and poster presentations were offered by Kyutech and UPM researchers from Applied Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Material Sciences, and Engineering & Technology. The presentations provided a great opportunity to enhance research collaborations between Kyutech and UPM.

またSAES開催期間中、ジョイントリサーチプログラムの報告会及びキックオフミーティングを実施するとともに、本学を卒業したマレーシア人の卒業生同窓会セッションを実施し、両大学間の交流活動の歴史を振り返る事が出来ました。
During SAES2019, we held an alumni session as well as report meeting and kick-off meeting for co-funding research project. At an alumni session, attendee had a great time looking back over the history of the collaborative activities between both universities.

他大学も参加した本年度の国際合同シンポジウムは大盛況の内に幕を閉じました。次回の同シンポジウムは２０２０年に本学で開催される予定です。
The Symposium ended with great success and potential research collaborations.
The 8th Symposium (SAES2020) will be hosted by Kyutech in Japan in 2020.
